English Language Placement Test
Guidelines

The following guidelines will help you take the placement test with confidence and ensure accurate results based on your English proficiency level. Please follow them.

  1. Before You Begin
  • Prepare your environment: Find a quiet, comfortable space where you can concentrate for the full 20 minutes. This test is designed to be completed in one sitting, so avoid potential interruptions.
  • Check your connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection to avoid any interruptions during the test.
  • Gather your materials: Only a computer, tablet, or phone with internet access is required. The test does not require additional resources, such as dictionaries or other aids. 2.
    Test Structure and Timing
    Duration: 20 minutes
    Number of Questions: 20
    Sections: Vocabulary, Grammar, Conversation, Reading Comprehension
    Format: Multiple Choice (MCQ), Fill-in-the-Blank, Short Answer, True or False

Taking the Test
• Focus on Each Question: Read each question carefully, as many are designed to assess your comprehension and critical thinking as well as your language skills.
• Choose the Best Answer: Select the answer that seems the most correct for each question. Some options may look similar, so pay attention to detail.
Scoring and Placement
• A1 Level (0–3 correct answers): Beginner course
• A2 Level (4–7 correct answers): Elementary course
• B1 Level (8–11 correct answers): Intermediate course
• B2 Level (12–15 correct answers): Upper-Intermediate course
• C1 Level (16–18 correct answers): Advanced course
• C2 Level (19–20 correct answers): Proficient course
Note: The final level determination will be made after completing two assessments of speaking and writing skills at the center’s headquarters or another agreed-upon location.
